THE CULT: 'Born Into This' Pushed Back To October

THE CULT's new album, "Born Into This" (Roadrunner Records),has had its North American release date pushed back to October 2 from the previously announced September 25.

As previously reported, a 90-second audio sample of THE CULT's new single, "Dirty Little Rock Star", is available for download at this location. The song, which is scheduled to go for radio adds on August 13, comes off "Born Into This". The group's first CD since 2001 was recently recorded in London with producer Youth (VERVE, PRIMAL SCREAM),who will be adding final touches and mixing.

A video interview with THE CULT, conducted on June 24, 2007 at the Coke Live Festival in Bucharest, Romania, has been posted at Metalhead.ro. Video footage of THE CULT's performance at the festival can be seen here.

THE CULT's current touring lineup includes principals Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy alongside bassist Chris Wyse, drummer John Tempesta (ex-WHITE ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, HELMET) and rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich.
